Litespeed CX Bike

UPDATE: see part one of our detailed review of the Litespeed CX here: http://team.sixcycle.com/2013/11/11/litespeed-cx-review/ Litespeed CX Bike: one of Litespeed's most recent introductions, the Litespeed CX is a genuine hand made in the USA frameset that goes back to Litespeed's roots in titanium frame construction. However this frameset is anything but old school - utilizing 3AL-2.5V Ti tubing and a PressFit 30 bottom bracket system this bike also comes ready for the latest in cyclocross stopping technology: post-mount disc brakes.

As part of Team Sixcycle's partnership with Litespeed, the team is riding Litespeed L1R and the Litespeed C1R during the 2013 road season. However come cross season we hope to put the Litespeed CX Bike through its paces at cyclocross races across the East Coast including the Providence Cyclocross Festival. In the interim we had the opportunity to do a quick photoshoot with the first Litespeed CX Bike in New York City.

If you're in New York City and interested in this specific frameset, or any other Litespeed, make sure to pay a visit to Toga Bikes, Manhattan's exclusive Litespeed Dealer.

Stay tuned for much more on the Litespeed CX Bike and other Litespeed frames on TeamSixcycle.com as the season progresses.

Litespeed CX Bike Introduction

From Litespeed.com:

How do you become a cyclocross fanatic? Likely by accident. How do you put an entirely new cyclocross bike underneath an industry filled with wannabes but still starving for the real thing? Deliberately. Just add Litespeed ingenuity and know-how to titanium durability. The sport of cyclocross has come a long way from the days of bikes cobbled together from the abandoned parts bin and the old touring frames. The competition and courses are more demanding, the available components more thoughtful and selection more robust. Expectations are, indeed, higher and Litespeed does not disappoint with their 2013 CX offering, the ultimate upgrade for any serious CX athlete.

Ride highlights from Litespeed.com:

-Tapered, cold worked 3AL-2.5V Ti tubing -Post-mount disc compatible -Cross-specific tube set and 44mm head tube -PressFit 30 bottom bracket system -Pro-grade, cross-specific race geometry -Legendary Litespeed craftsmanship
