Back to the Singletrack

A half decade ago we founded our team as a road racing squad, pure and simple. But in the years since our cycling horizons have continued to expand.

Now, in our first season as "To Be Determined" our entire ethos -- described in more detail here -- is built around the full breadth of adventure that cycling has to offer. From cyclocross to bikepacking to touring the globe by bike

While our core will always be in road racing, some of our favorite excursions these days are of the off-road variety, informally known as "shredfests" to the team. With this in mind, for MLK weekend four of us headed to our favorite trails in the tri-state area.

Saturday featured its fair share of tumbles and mishaps, including a mechanical that forced Ted to ride without a front brake for most of the day. But with fresh legs the speeds were high and the post-ride beers were especially delicious.

On Sunday morning we woke to a fresh layer of snow - insuring completely different conditions for our second day of riding. There were some minor mishaps, including Rog's failed attempt at a 360-degree skid, but it was once again an incredible day of leg destroying singletrack as we continue the march to the start of the 2017 road season.
