Announcing To Be Determined f/b Metropolitan Dental Care
The To Be Determined team is very excited to announce a new sponsor coming aboard, effective immediately and through the remainder of the 2019 season.
Metropolitan Dental Care will be joining the TBD family as title level partner for the Women’s squad and a secondary sponsor for the Men’s team. Metropolitan Dental Care (“MDC”) and lead dentist, Dr. Nicole Mermet, are firm believers in supporting WTF athletes, and we are thrilled to partner together for the next few years as CRCA/To Be Determined f/b Metropolitan Dental Care for our W team. You read that right; it’s “f/b” which stands for “flossed by”!
MDC is a leading dental care center located in the heart of Manhattan, specializing not only in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, but with a focus on dental care for endurance athletes. All that sugary product we ingest on long bike rides can have a negative impact on our teeth. MDC understands an athlete’s unique needs and provides the proper care to keep athletes’ teeth as strong as their muscles. All dental appointments can be enhanced at the patient’s option, by wearing MDC-provided Elevated Legs recovery boots during your treatment, so you can maximize athletic recovery in while keeping your mind off those all those dental tools.
Dr. Mermet is also an accomplished athlete in her own right, making this partnership the perfect pairing. Her palmares include completing 12 marathons, 2010 Ironman Lake Placid, 2011 56-mile Comrades ultra-marathon, 2012 Ironman US Championship, 2014 SOS Triathlon, and the 2016 6-Day TransRockies Run. She crushed it in her bicycle racing debut at the 2013 CRCA Women’s Intro to Bike Racing Clinic, landing a top 5 finish. She is now getting into gravel riding and we can’t wait to hit the trails with her! Beyond her racing and riding prowess, Dr. Mermet has been a leader and stalwart supporter in the cycling community in NYC for many years, serving as NYCC SIG leader for the A-Classic and sponsoring several CRCA races.
Dr. Mermet’s mega watt smile and personality, in combination with her mega watt strength on and off the bike, makes Dr. Mermet an inspiring athlete, professional, and just overall great role model to us as a team, and we sincerely could not be more stoked to have her as a supporter. While MDC’s sponsor emphasis is on bolstering the W team, we are extremely grateful to have their backing for the full TBD family.
