Racing and Riding: A NYC Weekend Roll
It was a truly perfect weekend for bikes in NYC, starting off with the latest edition of the CRCA Club Series in Central Park, followed by our most recent TBD Community Ride (with the weather FINALLY cooperating).
The CRCA Club Series continues
While it was a beautiful morning for racing, the action started out with some misfortunate as a smashed glass bottle on the course instigated flats for nearly a dozen riders just a few hundred meters into the race. For TBD this unfortunately included Steph, but that didn’t stop Lucia from snagging 4th in hard fought sprint finish that Matt captured in his small gallery from the race (the combination of oversleeping + earlier than expected finishes = a smaller gallery than we’re used to):
After the Race: TBD COmmunity ride
Following the Club Series, we kicked off the latest edition of our TBD Community Ride, heading over the GWB for some sunshine and pleasant miles. While a number of our early season community rides were cancelled due to weather, with summer finally on the horizon we’re looking forward to the next community ride in just a few weeks. We have a few rides kicking off from Prospect Park to head to the beach, so join us for one!
