Scenes from Charm City CX

Following the unfortunate demise of the Grand Prix of Gloucester, the title of ‘our favorite race’ on the East Coast has shifted several hours south to Charm City CX in Baltimore.

It is a race that has featured on the Journal as far back as 2017, but over time Charm City CX has gotten better and better. As a result we keep coming back with more and more racers (2018, 2021). With our biggest crew yet in tow, the 2022 edition of the race packed plenty of punch thanks to heavy rain throughout the weekend. Instead of the dry and dusty conditions from the past few years, this version of Charm City CX was a proper mudder.

We covered the entire weekend from start to finish in our Instagram stories, but we will have much more coming to the Journal over the next several days including a big 600+ image photo gallery tomorrow and race reportage later this week. Stay tuned and for now whet your appetite with some of my favorite shorts from the weekend:

A New York City based cyclist and sometimes photographer. Part adventure rider, part crit racer, and fully obsessed with an English bulldog named Winifred.
