Join TBD at Floyd Bennett Field on 7/11!

The beginning of the season was fraught with uncertainty - would racing at FBF come back, or would capitalism win? The answer it turns out, is sort of both.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out Diane’s wonderful writeup on the history of FBF and its relationship with the National Park Service, Aviator Sports, and racing bikes. If you are up on the news, and just haven’t made it to FBF yet, please consider joining us on TBD’s Sponsor Nite at Floyd Bennett Field on Tuesday, July 11th!

Why should you show up at FBF to hang out with us? So many reasons!

  1. Women race for free! That’s right, registration for the Women’s field is completely free!

  2. If you’ve never raced at an abandoned airstrip, it’s pretty cool

  3. July is generally warm and sticky, but near the water there is a lovely breeze

  4. You haven’t lived until you’ve ridden bikes down Flatbush Ave on a Tuesday evening

  5. You can hang out with TBD and all the other extremely nice folks who race, and Greg or I might even take your photo. All photos in this post are ours and we are extremely talented, and also nice!

  6. July 11th, also known as 7/11, is Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven. You could do a bike race and then cool off with one of the best treats in the entire world.

  7. You might end up on a wonderfully color coordinated podium like the one below

Hit us up on Instagram or via a comment on this post if you have questions. If you’re not sure how to make all of this happen, check out our Floyd Bennett Field Guide from last year.
