Ladies and Gentlemen... The Offseason

Ladies and Gentlemen... The Offseason

There are still a few weekends of cyclocross left on the calendar. But after a short but intense road season and a packed fall calendar of CX, we see some signs of burnout starting to creep in around the edges. Which is the perfect reminder that the off-season is in some ways the most important time of the year.

As racers, we’ll spend the early months of the year building a base, and then layering on intensity that we’ll invest in early morning races in NYC or weekends traversing the East Coast. At the end of all of that, the off-season brings much needed balance. In our experience, without a proper off-season it is tough to survive for long in bike racing.

So we’re prioritizing time to hit the trails, and to partake in the most leisurely of fall coffee rides. With the end goal of coming back rested and recharged for 2022 and what will be the first full season of racing in more than two years.

Though, by the way, we would still be OK not racing bikes in March.
