No Chain Days

Looking back on my past two seasons it's pretty apparent that fitness has been in short supply. There is a long list of excuses involving the real world, but that's an entirely separate story.

This weekend roll is about those days where, fitness or no-fitness, the legs turnover with ease and power. Those No Chain Days that Josh Rovner wrote about several years ago when he quite literally lost his chain in the finishing sprint and still managed to win his race. The CRCA Season Opener was unfortunately not one of those no chain days (wouldn't that have been convenient) but somehow the following day was. And so under blue skies the Sunday team ride took on a quicker pace and joined by a few of our friends from CityMD Women's Racing the miles ticked by on what was - at this early stage in the season - one of the best days I have had on the bike this year. Not bad for a random Sunday in March.
