At this year’s Intelligentsia Cup the team was joined by Taylor Kuyk-White for a week of crit racing in Chicago. During that week of residence in a somewhat odd AirBNB we had the opportunity to learn about the youth cycling program Taylor runs for The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia. Now that organization’s annual gala and fundraiser is coming up and they need your support. Taylor put it best on her Instagram:

“To my cycling family, friends, and community. This is my semi annual plea for your support of the @bicyclecoalitionyouthcycling program. BCYC brings the transformative power of the bicycle to Philadelphia youth. To us, cycling is about fostering citizenship, about building resilience and grit, about breaking down barriers to accessing health and career opportunities. The annual @bicyclecoalition gala is on Thursday, October 4th. Please come. It is not cheap, because the resources we provide are not cheap. Our impact, however, is gigantic. If you can't come, consider making a donation.”

We’re huge proponents of youth cycling programs like this - they’re some of the best elements of the cycling community - and urge you to consider attending the gala in person or making a donation to The Bicycle Coalition. For more information head over to the link below. Tickets to the gala are only on sale until midnight tonight so act fast if you want to join!
