TBD Race Calendar: July 2018
July promises an action packed month of racing with perhaps the busiest few weeks on the TBD Race Calendar of the entire year. The highlight for the To Be Determined Squad is definitely Intelligentsia Cup in Chicago in the third week of the month but there is plenty of other racing to highlight as well
Intelligentsia Cup brings 10 days of racing to the Windy City from July 20-29. The race format is shifting somewhat with several long road races in the first half of the week but there are still plenty of great criterium to close out the series. If you haven't read our Intelligentsia Cup Race Guide it is chock full of course information and restaurant recommendations straight from Chicago locals.
The CRCA Club Series carries on with the first Power Points race of the weekend tomorrow, followed by Club Race #8 on July 15 and the CRCA Lou Maltese Club Championships on July 22nd. With CRCA Season Pass membership fees cut to just $60 there is still a lot of value for CRCA membership to close out the race season.
Verrazano Bicycle Shop's new DisTRACtion Circus Weekend Points Series fills out the calendar nicely with 4 weekend dates at Floyd Bennett Field and lots of fields to choose from. Unfortunately the next two dates in the series overlap with CRCA Club Series races (and Giro del Cielo this weekend) but for non-CRCA members this is a great new race option.
The CRCA Open Racing calendar comes to a close on July 29th with the always exciting and rarely easy CRCA Tour de Fort Lee Criterium. Last year's race was a blast. Sadly much of the TBD squad will be at Intelligentsia Cup but Fort Lee should definitely be on your calendar if your in the City on the last weekend of the month.
It is a somewhat lower key month for off-road riding but the H2H Series continues on July 15th with the Bulldog Rump race in Andover New Jersey.
As always if we are missing any races from the calendar just drop us a note using the contact form on the TBD Race Calendar page. We want to make sure the calendar is as comprehensive as possible.
