TBD Race Calendar: March 2026
It is difficult to fathom on a day when it snowed (again), but road racing is officially underway in New York City and the upcoming race calendar in March is absolutely packed with early season events including 25% of the CRCA Club Series and the start of the Mountain Bike season. Here is a look at some of the upcoming events featured on the TBD Race Calendar.
March 7-8: the first weekend of the month features the first two race weekend of the year in the New York area with a Lucarelli & Castaldi double header:
Saturday will be the opener for the Branchbrook series in Newark, NJ. While this event requires a train/drive from New York City, it is a great early season crit-like series that we highly recommend checking out. The course is flat and fast, with dynamic racing. Register on Bikereg.
On Sunday the Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup Series in Prospect Park gets underway. The L&C Cup is one of two series that takes place in Prospect Park, each with slightly different field structures. There are KOM and Sprint competitions to spice up the racing, and this is another series worth checking out. Register on Bikereg.
March 14-15: there are once again two races this weekend, but with Prospect Park swapped out for Central Park as the pairing with Branchbrook:
In New York City, the CRCA Club Series gets underway in Central Park on Saturday. This beloved series is not to be missed and for 2026 there are a bunch of changes to the structure of the Club Series, including a “Basic” CRCA membership option that allows racers to register for individual races with no marshaling obligation. See CRCA.net for all of the details and keep in mind that Basic members must register in advance on the website.
Branchrook returns on Sunday for another day of racing in Newark, NJ. Register on Bikereg.
March 21-22: this is the busiest weekend of the month with three road races and a mountain bike race all in the mix:
Saturday unfortunately features a road racing schedule conflict with the second race in the CRCA Club Series and the third race in the Branchbrook Series. Choose which series you prefer! CRCA information and individual race registration is available on CRCA.net. Branchbrook information and registration is on Bikereg.
Saturday also sees the Mountain Bike season get underway with the Mayhem race in Medford, New Jersey. The course is mostly flat with tight, twisty, rooty singletrack, joined by sections of fire road and quasi-technical features (a climb, a few bridges, a set of ~15 spaced out gravel steps) on YMCA campgrounds. While it’s not part of the H2H Series this year, you can check out our past race report here: Mayhem in Medford on the To Be Determined Journal. Registration is here on Bikereg.
Prospect Park racing returns on Sunday with the first race in the Verge Series. Similar to the L&C Cup, just with an alternative field structure, this is a great Brooklyn race series. Registration is via Bikereg.
March 28-29: the final weekend of the month is pretty similar to the prior weekend, with two races on Saturday followed by Prospect Park racing on Sunday.
The calendar for Saturday is identifical to the week prior, with the third race in the CRCA Club Series as well as Branchbrook. CRCA information and registration is available on CRCA.net while Branchbrook is on Bikereg.
Sunday is the second race in the Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup in Prospect Park. Register on Bikereg.
If we are missing any races from the calendar just drop us a note using the contact form on the TBD Race Calendar page. We want to make sure the calendar is as comprehensive as possible.

Spring is finally arriving in NYC, and with it better weather for bike racing (we hope)
